Strengths: Convenient sling design, solid construction, built in water resistant cover, adjustable partions in main cargo area.
Weakness: Slightly larger could be useful.
I was really pleased when I got my Slingshot 200 AW. Lowepro really thought about what they were doing when they designed it. It is solid and sleek. It has tons of built in features: water resistant cover, LCD screen protector, lots of pockets. And best of all, the sling design is really convenient to use. I love being able to get my camera out with very little effort, and then put it away and...
Strengths: Well constructed bag, compartments are well thought out, very flexible, easy to carry.
Weakness: none so far.
This is a much better idea than the traditional style camera bag. It's easy to take with you and your equipment is safe and accessible. For its size you can carry a good amount of equipment, it's a great bag for my Olympus e-500 two lens kit with plenty of room for a small video camera and other "stuff". Most of the reviews I've read were very accurate.
Strengths: Large enough to carry all my camera gear needed for a hike and small enough to not be to cumbersome.
Weakness: none so far
I wanted a bag that I could carry a camera and few lenses with a flash along in, this bag does that and more. It is bigger than I thought and holds all I need. It is well made and has enough room to carry what one should need. Even room for a few extras.
Strengths: Ability to access gear without taking the bag off. Great value.
Weakness: Maybe more pockets? You can only carry on your right shoulder. I'm stretching here.
Target consumer Let me start by saying who I believe this is for and who it's not for. The bag is designed for the photographer who needs a reasonable amount of gear - say for a hike, a sporting event, or a social event like a birthday party. The bag is not meant for the photographer who needs (or wants) to bring more equipment than say a couple of bodies and 2-3 medium lenses. Very long lenses...
Strengths: Ergonomics, Quality of materials and workmanship, Size, Form, Fit and Function
Weakness: Strap has to be worn over the left shoulder, not ambidextrious.
The biggest strength is the design of this bag, I was looking for something that would hold a camera body with a 70-300mm zoom lens attached along with 2 spare lenses, my battery charger and cables, a flash and a few filters and still have a little room for a peanut butter sandwitch or a P&S camera. With that list of what I needed to put in the bag I was pretty much limited to the traditional...
Strengths: None of the many bags I tried have the convenience and utility while being comfortable to wear, provides ample protection for my gear and has enough room for a nice day trip. EXC!
Weakness: As a female, it is difficult to adjust the strap across my chest to get comfortable for walking long distances. I need to fuss a lot with it. But once I get it, it works fine.
I have a small used camera business and have seen just about every kind of camera bag made. The suitcase and shoulder bag type don't allow you to go on a long hike, the backpack type make it inconvenient. I have to take off the pack to get my camera out and I miss too many great photo opportunities. If I carry my digital SLR around my neck, it is not protected enough as I am moving through hiking...
Strengths: Design allows easy access Comfortable to wear Lots of room Weatherproof cover
Weakness: Would be nice to have a lockable zipper on main pouch
Nice bag with plenty of room, comfortable to wear, and plenty of protection for your gear. The main compartment will open partway to allow quick access to the camera, or you can undo two snaps & the compartment opens up 180 degrees for full access. Microfiber cloth to protect LCD display. Weatherproof overwrap in separate pocket flips over bag to keep out dust & moisture.
Strengths: Build & Design Like a pro
Weakness: Padding
This Lowepro Sling shot 200 AW is very usefull can fit long lens ( 70 - 200 Nikon f2.8 with hood attached) Nikon D70 attached with 17 - 55 F2.8 hood attached) Flash and lot of compartment for everthing else (CF card, cleaning solution, batteries). Build perfectly for travel, easy to swing from carry mode to shoot mode. Have weather cover just in case you need it. Feel perfectly in the back. The...
Strengths: ergonomic, quick access to camera, well-made, little pockets & compartments for accessories and misc. "stuff"
Weakness: none in my case
I absolutely love this bag! My old one was a typical rectangular shoulder bag. This one allows me to carry the camera with a lens attached, plus a couple extra lenses all nicely padded in their little compartments. I'm a girl who doesn't carry a purse, and there's plenty of room for my MP3 player, keys, money, and a snack and my hands are free for hiking, holding the dog's leash or whatever. When...
PROS:Large and spacious main compartment, Waterproof microfiber construction, Easy-access sling bag design. CONS:Designed to be only worn on right shoulder, Only two compartments aside from main one. REVIEW:A photographers worst nightmare is missing that one-in-a-million shot. Whether they are professionals or amateurs, lensmen know the value of time when it comes to taking shots. As such, it has...

Great camera bag
Strengths: Main compartment fits two SLRs with mid-zoom lens attached plus flash. Remaining top pouch fits my PVP plus cables and side pouch for my wallet etc.
Weakness: No choice in bag color. There's a lot of height space, so my SLR has too much room to move.
Great for day-to-day usage around town. Can understand why it has won some awards. Very easy to access your camera without taking off the bag. Not sure how it will stand up in regards to comfort if I use it for long hikes in the mountains.
